Where Most People Go Wrong When Chasing a Dream

Chasing a dream can be tough. It takes perseverance–sometimes more perseverance than we’ve ever had to muster in the past. Chasing a dream stretches us in ways we’ve never been stretched. I tend to think we actually become different people when we pursue a goal to which we feel deeply called. Watch this video to find out where most people go wrong on this journey and what I think the antidote is.

Question for you:What is “in the present” for you? What do you need to accomplish this week to move closer to your dream? You can leave a comment by clicking here.

  1. Thank you so much for this post! It was just what I needed to hear. 🙂 I have sabotaged my present because I am afraid it won’t be what I dream. I listened to the voice in my head that convinced me it would just be a waste of time to create stories and blog posts. Next time I sit down and the fear of it just being a waste comes into my mind I’m going to think of you and say So what!! 🙂

  2. Love this Chad. I so often get overwhelmed by my big dreams that I freeze in the present. I need to work on not discrediting the smaller steps of the process!! Thanks and Blessings~

  3. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I really want this to be more than just in the margins of my life but I will keep pushing forward until it is. At least I do as was suggested to me early on, I love what I write about so I will keep going.

  4. Chad – appreciate your encouragement to pursue the ‘side job’ dream. This week, I want to organize my time to complete my INTRO and ABOUT ME parts to my first blog. I’ve collected notes on the important things the first blog should have and really like my blog intro. My goal this week is to finish these 2 parts of my blog. By Friday. I would love to have a critique of my blog, Courageous Conversations. Thank you for asking and listening. Yolanda
