Over at Savanna’s Place…

A little while back blogger and fellow ReWrite Conference (@ReWriteConf) attendee Savanna Hartman asked me to do a guest post for her. She asked for a piece on how younger folks (think Millennials) can discern their vocation. Here’s how the piece begins:

Despite all beliefs to the contrary, God has been working in each of our lives. And our stories up to this point provide signposts for what is worth pursuing in the future.

When I was in first grade, my mom helped me create my first book. She helped me develop the story and pick character names. She edited my writing and coached me about building suspense. Long story short: my book took the blue ribbon in our school contest, and I beamed.

Today, I’m a book editor. Essentially I help people make books and give them that same beaming feeling . . .
